This policy explains how Creative Escape uses personal information when you browse our website, book a workshop or contact us.
who we are
Creative Escape is the data controller for bookings made through this website. We are based in Lagos, Portugal. You can contact us at hello@creativescape.pt.
what we collect
- Your name, email address and phone number.
- The event selected, number of guests and optional booking notes.
- Booking, payment and communication status.
- Basic technical and security records needed to protect the website.
why we use it
We use this information to process your booking, contact you, manage capacity, provide the event and respond to questions or cancellations. The legal bases are taking steps at your request before entering into an agreement, performing that agreement, complying with legal obligations and our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.
emails and marketing
We send service emails about your booking, such as receipt, confirmation, waitlist or cancellation messages. We do not add booking contacts to a marketing list unless we ask separately and you choose to subscribe.
service providers
We use trusted providers to operate the website and bookings, including Netlify for hosting and server functions, Neon for database hosting and Resend for transactional email. If online payments are enabled, Stripe processes payment information. Creative Escape does not store full card details. Providers may process data outside the EEA using legally recognised transfer safeguards where required.
how long we keep it
Booking and communication records are generally kept for up to 12 months after the event. We may retain limited records for longer where required by law, accounting rules, dispute resolution or fraud prevention. Data that is no longer needed is deleted or anonymised.
your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing. Contact us by email to exercise these rights. You may also lodge a complaint with Portugal’s data protection authority, CNPD.
cookies and security
The public website does not currently use advertising or analytics cookies. Essential security cookies are used only for the private administration area. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect booking data, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

We may update this policy when our services or providers change. The latest version and update date will always be published on this page.
